Hotel for small and senior dogs

Unique in Luxembourg, a Hotel for very small dogs:

Lassie is the only dog boarding kennel in Luxembourg with a separate building specifically built for the care of very small dogs. This 3rd building was added in 2009 in order to provide an extra service to a growing clientele of small breed dogs: Chihuahua, Poodle, Bichon, Yorkshire terrier, Jack Russell, Cavalier King Charles, Dachshund, Cocker Spaniel, Pug, Miniature Spitz and many others ranging from about 1 to approximatively 10 kilos.

All rooms are equipped with floor heating, large windows and also direct access to covered outside runs. From there, the dogs can go out 3 times a day in their various exercise areas without having any physical contact, or even visual contact with the large dogs.

In each room we place 2 to 4 small dogs together. Since our guests come back regularly, we place those who know each other together every time they stay. The more gentle or shy ones will be separated from the young, turbulent and playful ones. Our assistants are there to keep a close eye on each little resident and will stay with him/her while he/she finishes his/her ration during the meal distribution.

If you have two or more dogs, we can reserve a room for them alone. The most important thing is that each dog has company at all times and feels confident during his stay in boarding.

As well for the very little ones, the bathing and drying can be requested for the day of departure, for an additional fee. We do the procedure very gently and without stress for the dog.

Hotel for dogs in the "senior" age group:

This special building is also intended for dogs suffering from diseases or disorders common to old age.

The "senior" age group occupies a growing part of our clientele. The increase in the life expectancy of pets and the intensification of the human-animal bond has incited us to contribute to improving their quality of life.

The rooms equipped with floor heating, anti-slip floor and especially the care of our experienced veterinary assistants continue to treat dogs suffering from the following ailments:

Arthritis,
Endocrine diseases (Cushing's, Diabetes, Hypothyroidism),
Renal and urinary diseases,
Heart problems,
Senility,
Hearing loss
Loss of vision.

Hundreds of old dogs have stayed at LassieBoarding Kennel over the past 20 years. The oldest was 22 years old. All our clients and new clients can rely on us to take care of their dogs until the end of their lives. Unlike many other boarding facilities, we never turn down an old dog.

On the contrary, we will do everything to reassure him, to take care of him and to relieve him. He needs special attention and we are attentive to any sign of pain or discomfort. We have an exchange with the animal in all confidence and without pressure and our veterinarian and his structure are present on the spot, if necessary.

Often your dog has accompanied you all his life during your travels. But unfortunately, at a certain age, the old dog can no longer bear travel, he becomes blind, deaf or incontinent. Or he can no longer stay alone in a hotel room, he can't stand traveling in the car. This often leads the owner of the dog to look for an alternative care solution during the vacations. Of course it is easier for the dog, if it has already been used to boarding from a young age.

But we also accept old dogs that have never been to boarding, for short stays and long stays, in case of a long hospitalization of the dog owner for example.
